KARENGO/NORI Cultured Butter 120g
Our Gold medal winning unsalted cultured butter is made by batch churning cream which has been fermented and ripened slowly for at least 170 hours, which gives the creamy tangy taste for which cultured butter is renowned. Our butter is produced in the traditional way that farmhouse butter was always made “back in the day”.
We made this butter as a special order for the month of October at Wild Wheat Bakeries. We couldn't live without this butter being in OUR the fridge so decided to make it available for our store. And currently only available on our website!
The delicate flavour of Seaweed adds to the creamy tangy taste of the butter. It won a Silver medal at the recent Outstanding NZ Food Producers Awards. Ideal to take to the batch for putting on your fresh catch of the day, and we love it on our toast too!
